This website provides information about the IMPROVE trial: Clinical impact of the use of IMPROVE for selection of patients for carotid revascularisation. The IMPROVE trial is a randomised controlled non-inferiority trial. The aim is to assess two carotid revascularization selection strategies in symptomatic patients with 30-99% carotid stenosis:

● Risk stratification as in standard care

● Risk stratification using the IMPROVE risk score
